Love wild horses? Want to make a real difference?
Join us.

Volunteers are the heart of WHOAS—from mucking pens to managing social media, every hand helps us protect Alberta’s wild horses and care for those in need.

Whether you're an experienced horse person or just someone who believes in our mission, there's a place for you here.

We’re based just west of Sundre, Alberta. Most on-site roles require travel to the facility, but we also have remote opportunities available occasionally.

Thanks for submitting!

Land Acknowledgement

Here in the foothills, we walk on the traditional territories of the Îyârhe Nakoda, Niitsitapi, and Tsuut’ina Nations, and the homeland of the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.

These lands have long been home to the stories of people and horses. We honour the First Peoples who care for this land, and we honour the wild horses who still run free upon it.
