Into the Herd
Step off the beaten path and into the foothills, where Alberta’s wild horses still roam free.
There's nothing quite like standing in a pasture with Alberta's wild horses—watching them move, hearing them breathe, feeling the ground shift under their hooves.
Our tours are about an hour of quiet connection and real stories. You'll walk among the horses, meet individuals by name, and hear where they came from.
You'll see the work up close—the patience, the partnership, the small victories that lead to adoption-ready horses.
We move at the horses' pace, not ours.
Perfect for families, photographers, horse lovers, or anyone who's ever wondered what it's like to be this close to something truly wild.

What to expect
The tour runs for approximately one hour. You will walk among the horses, hear their individual stories, and see the daily work of rehabilitation and gentling up close. Groups are kept small so every visit feels personal and unhurried.
Tours run rain or shine — this is Alberta foothills country and the horses are out regardless of weather. Dress for it and you will enjoy every minute.
Good to know
Wear closed toe shoes. You will be on uneven ground and around large animals. Leave the sandals at home.
Dress in layers. Weather in the foothills changes fast. What starts as a warm morning can shift quickly — bring a jacket regardless of the forecast.
Bring your camera. These horses are extraordinary subjects and you will have time to photograph them. Phone cameras work beautifully.
Leave your dog at home. We love dogs — but the horses need a calm environment and visiting dogs can disrupt that. No dogs on tour days please.
The terrain is uneven. Our facility involves natural ground with some uneven surfaces. If you have mobility considerations please reach out before booking and we will do our best to accommodate you.
All ages are welcome. Families with children of any age are warmly invited. There is something about these horses that speaks to everyone — young visitors often have the most memorable reactions.

“Such a hidden gem. We arrived when they were bringing the horses into the stables for the night — so we got a first hand experience of their daily routine. The kids even got to lead a horse into the stable. This was hands down one of the nicest farms we’ve been to.”

“My mother is 85 and just loved it. They helped us in and out of the covered wagon and made us comfortable the whole time. They answered all our questions and were so knowledgeable.”

“We really enjoyed our tour. It was so neat to see the horses and learn more about the wild horse population in Alberta. We will tell our friends for sure — go check out this place.”
